His legal battle in Spain has been mentioned as a likely cause, and has thus been linked with a move away from La Liga. One Premier League manager is aware of this situation and ready to exploit it.
According to Sport, the Selecao ace has been contacted by Man United boss Jose Mourinho – personally. In fact, the Portuguese tactician is “calling Neymar regularly” to sell him on moving to Old Trafford.
The Special One, having taken over the Red Devils over the summer, looks to improve on his current crop of players. Man United can end this season with a title or two – the League Cup and Europa League – but are in danger of missing out on the Champions League.
Mourinho believes Neymar would be the ideal signing for his star-studded squad, and has thus reached out to the player. The former Chelsea boss has discussed with the Barca ace what working with Jose would be like and how it could benefit the player’s career.
