The Diego Costa saga has taken a new twist as far as his transfer out of Chelsea is concerned. The Spaniard is said to be on his way out of the Bridge in the summer after falling out with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, an incident that kept him out of the clash against Leicester City last weekend.
And now, according to The Guardian, Liverpool flop Christian Benteke has been lined up to replace the bullish forward. Beteke joined the reds from Aston Villa in 2015 but failed to impress, having scored only nine league goals in 29 matches. At Villa, he scored 42 league goals in 89 appearances. The Belgian international now plays for Crystal Palace, a club he joined over the summer of 2016. He has since scored eight league goals in 19 appearances for the Eagles. .jpg)
Benteke, 29, is a proven goalscorer although not as lethal as Costa. But the Blues are reportedly banking on the experienced Antonio Conte to bring help the superstar rediscover his goal-scoring boots just like he did to the likes of Pedro and Eden Hazard who were dissapointing to watch last season.
