And now, his German compatriot Ilkay Gundogan believes that the English giants have been ‘disrespectful’ towards the celebrated footballer. Gundogan, who joined City over the summer, shares the same opinion with Schweinsteiger’s brother Tobias, who also criticized the club on Twitter for showing ‘no respect’ to the legendary player.

Speaking to Sport Bild [as per the Daily Mail], Gundogan said:
''I believe that Manchester United could 100 per cent benefit from a fit Bastian Schweinsteiger.
''If everything you hear and read is true, you can consider it disrespectful. He's not just some player, and also not only 18 or 19.''
Schweini, as he is fondly referred to, arrived at Old Trafford from Bayern Munich last summer under former Man Utd and Bayern manager Louis Van Gaal. He suffered an injury stricken season, but showed a glimpse of class in his 18 league appearances for the club. He has won the FA Cup with the English giants but stands a slim chance of donning the red jersey once again, according to Mourinho.
