Upon Manchester City’s announcement that Pep Guardiola will take over the club next season, the Citizens were linked with an array of world-class talents from defense to midfield.
One of those was French superstar Paul Pogba, with the Daily Mail reporting earlier this month that the English giants will hand the Spanish tactician £80m to land the Juventus ace.
The 22-year-old has made a name for himself in Turin, quickly becoming one of Europe’s hottest young talents out there since leaving Manchester United as a free agent back in 2012.
Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta, though, recently revealed to Gr Parlamento, as per Football Italia, that the Old Lady have no interntions of selling Pogba nor hit summer signing Paulo Dybala.
"Juventus are in a position where we can reject all approaches for Paulo -- and we have already done that."
"And the same goes for Pogba. He is an important player for us.”
However, the Frenchman in high demand has hinted at a desire to work with the current Bayern Munich boss one day, confessing to Sky Sport Deutschland – once again as per Football Italia – that even though he is a Juventus player, this may change in the near future.
“Guardiola has great experience and an immense philosophy of football,” the Italian news outlet quoted the midfielder as saying.
“He is a Coach who influences the squad and all the players respect him. You can only admire and try to learn something from him.
“He is an icon of football and I’ve heard he manages to improve every player he has at his disposal.”
“I am a Juventus player now, but clearly the possibility of working with him in future could develop.”
