At only 24 years old, seven years younger than Ronaldo, Neymar has scored 17 goals for Luis Enrique’s men this season in La Liga. He is also the player with the most assists this season (9) in La Liga.
On the other hand, the Portugal international has scored 21 La Liga goals this season and provided eight assists, but despite all that, he has been criticized severally for failing to shine against ‘big’ teams.
For instance, while Neymar was on target in last year’s El Clasico at the Santiago Bernabeu when Barca thrashed their bitter rivals 4-0, Ronaldo was conspicuously silent on the pitch.
