The English National Team has experienced a rebirth during the current Euro 2016 Qualifiers, showing all their class and winning all their games so far. Led by Wayne Rooney, Roy Hodgson's men lead Group E with a six-point advantage over Slovenia, the team that will try to snatch their winning streak away this Sunday.
The Slovenians are well known for being one of the toughest sides in Europe when they defend their home ground. Coach Srecko Katanec knows that even without conceding in their last four home games, the team has a lot to improve if they want to win at least one point against England.
"If we can make 50% fewer mistakes than in the first meeting at Wembley, there will be points for us. I hope my guys do not come on to the pitch with any fear or too much respect. It is one of the most exciting matches in Slovenia in recent years so we have to enjoy it. I want our fans to support these boys, no matter what happens," Katanec stated.
For the "Three Lions", this match could prove key to their qualifying chances. Although they are six points clear from their closest opponents, England can't back down against the Slovenians, who have proven to be quite difficult to beat. Last time these two sides met, Jordan Henderson scored an own goal when the game had just started, forcing the English crew to fight back. Finally, Hodgson's men won 3-1 at Wembley.
With Wayne Rooney fully fit for the match, Danny Welbeck will be missed with England. Arsenal's striker has been key to the team's performance, scoring six goals in five games. Without Welbeck, Rooney will most likely be in charge of the goal scoring duties, as Hodgson may toy with the possibility of giving Charlie Austin his first start for this Euro 2016 Qualifiers.
