The last team to successfully defend their Coppa Italia title was Inter, back in 2010 and 2011. This season, Napoli can certainly do the same, but they will have to get past Udinese, who have never won the trophy in their entire history.
The Partenopei will be heading into this game brimming with a spot of confidence after successfully downing Lazio in league action this weekend. The result now sees them move into third as the battle for the last Champions League spot picks up steam.
Meanwhile, Udinese, who not too long ago was battling with some of the league's bigger sides have struggled at times this season. Indeed, it appears that the Zebrette, many of whom likened to "The Little Engine That Could" have run out of steam. Veteran attacker Antonio Di Natale is still firing in the goals, with eight in the league and five in the Coppa Italia, but is finally starting to show signs of his advancing years.
A win for Udinese would certainly lift fans' spirits as the team have yet to win a game in 2015. Well, Napoli's back line has not always been the strongest. Despite resting nine points ahead in league play, Rafa Benitez's side have the worst defensive record out of the top five sides.
Can Udinese pull off an upset? Or will Napoli march on towards defending their title? It will indeed be interesting to see.
