One man down? No matter! Manchester City climbed into second place as they successfully powered past Southampton 3-0 on the road.
It has been a good week for City fans, who saw their team keep their Champions League campaign alive courtesy of a brilliant performance by star striker Sergio Aguero. The Argentinian's hat-trick was enough to see off Bundesliga outfit Bayern Munich, who had already qualified and now the reigning Premier League champions will have to fight it out with Roma for a ticket to the round of 16.
Goals from Yaya Toure, Frank Lampard, and Gael Clichy were enough to seal all three points, with ex-Chelsea star Lampard being singled out for praise by former teammates and the media alike.
