A disappointing performance on matchday one coupled with a 2-0 defeat against Borussia Dortmund has Arsenal needing three points tonight. With Galatasaray coming to town, Arsene Wenger's side will have a good chance of grabbing their first victory given their record against Turkish opposition.
The Gunners have never lost to a Turkish side over 90 minutes. And having already eliminated Fenerbahce from the competition in the qualification playoff, the players will be confident they can get the job done tonight.
After a draw in the North London Derby at the weekend, the players will want to bounce back with an important victory over Galatasaray. Failure to claim all three points could cause some concerns at the Emirates.
Adding to the pressure of needing to win is Wenger's long list of injury concerns.
Fortunately Jack Wilshere has recovered from his injury and will be part of the squad. As for those unavailable, the list includes Mikel Arteta, Aaron Ramsey, Nacho Monreal, apart from Walcott, Gnabry, Debuchy & Olivier Giroud.
Abou Diaby will also not be available, after Arsene Wenger announced that the Frenchman wasn't ready for this match yet.
Cesare Prandelli will bring his side to London wanting to take advantage of Arsenal's weaknesses. And in order to do that, his side will have to be defensively organized, while relying on Wesley Sneijeder on the counter-attack.
Having drawn 1-1 at home against Anderlecht in their first match, Galatasaray would still be content with at least one point tonight. Anything less could also be problematic for the Italian manager, who took over after stepping down from the Italian National Team.
