The Argentina made a triumphant return to the club's base of operation after a successful campaign in Qatar.

Brighton won the hearts of football fans on social media after a footage of their welcome ceremony for World Cup winner Alexis McAllister surfaced on the internet. The 24-year-old Argentine returned to the club on Monday morning following his country's triumphant campaign in Qatar and was greeted with a special ceremony.

An unsung hero of Argentina's remarkable campaign in Qatar, McAllister has experienced an astounding ascendency in the past three years. The midfielder who has Irish roots joined Albion in January in 2019 on a four-and-a-half year and, after impressing in the past season, was called-up by the Argentina national team for the first time in August 2019.

At the World Cup, the 24-year-old formed a boisterous midfield partnership alongside Enzo Fernandes and Rodrigo De Paul and, together, were able to compliment the genius of Lionel Messi to inspire the Albiceleste to their third World Cup trophy. On Monday, the former Boca Juniors man returned Brighton after celebrating with the national team on his homeland.
