Fox Sports and ESPN clinch media rights to broadcast all European qualifiers for Euro 2016 and the 2018 World Cup; Live Soccer TV to offer accurate live listings for all matches

Watch all UEFA Euro 2016 World Cup qualifiers and 2018 European World Cup qualifiers live on Fox Sports and ESPN.Miami Beach, Florida (June 5, 2013) Fox Sports Media Group and ESPN have acquired the rights to televise all UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying matches and 2018 UEFA World Cup qualifying matches. Europe’s 53 footballing nations will compete for the 23 spots up for grabs ahead of the 2016 UEFA European Championship. Titleholders Spain will be top seeded during the draw for the qualifiers which are set to begin in September 2014 and end in November 2015. 

 

As official hosts since May 2010, France will not participate in the Euro 2016 qualifiers. For the first time ever, the European Championship will accommodate 24 teams after featuring 16 teams between 1996 and 2008. The winning team will qualify for the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia.

Speaking about Russia, it will host the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Like always, the World Cup qualifiers will be a hot affair across Europe. The 2018 UEFA World Cup qualification campaign will begin in September 2016. 

On Tuesday, FOX Soccer Executive Vice President David Nathanson made a thrilling revelation. He stated:

Echoing Nathanson’s declaration was ESPN’s senior vice president for programming, Scott Guglielmino, who said:

“UEFA has gone to great lengths to organize these critical and competitive matches.

“We are delighted to work with UEFA and FOX to bring fans in the United States all the qualifying matches in Europe for UEFA EURO 2016TM and the 2018 FIFA World CupTM.”
