Serie A 2020/2021 fixture list

Serie A releases fixture schedule for the 2020/2021 season; here's where to watch it

September 3, 2020 By Michelle Bonsu
The 2020/2021 Serie A calendar has now been unveiled. Here's where to watch your favorite Italian side in action this month, and throughout the season.

Italian football fans won't have to wait for much longer to see stars like Romelu Lukaku, Cristiano Ronaldo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and more in action, as the 2020/2021 Serie A season is literally just weeks away from kicking off. Last campaign saw Juventus win the Scudetto, but finished the term on a sour note as they lost their last couple of games and were dumped out of the Champions League at the first knock-out stage.

With Maurizio Sarri's tenure coming to a swift end, the Bianconeri will now be under the guidance of former midfielder Andrea Pirlo, which definitely has fans a lot more excited to see what the 2006 World Cup winner will be able to do with the side.

Elsewhere, Antonio Conte's Inter finished as runners-up in the league after a strong finish to the season as well as in the Europa League. The Nerazzurri will be definite contenders for the Scudetto this time around as Conte was the manager who helped transform Juventus from struggling powerhouse into the premier side in Italy, so he's certainly got it in him to work the same kind of magic at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Meanwhile, AC Milan, thanks to a dramatic uptick in form following the league's pause, during which they did not lose a single match, secured a place in European competition for the first time in several seasons after finishing in sixth place. Although it's not the Champions League, the Rossoneri will certainly be happy to try their luck in the Europa League - especially considering despite the fact that they're the second most decorated side in the Champions League with seven titles, they unfortunately haven't won the tournament since 2007.

Here's the upcoming September fixture list for the 2020/2021 Serie A season. Of course, given we now live in a world that has been disrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this naturally could change at any time. As of now, however, matchday one will start on September 20, 2020.

What's the opening schedule set to look like?

As noted, matchday one will start on Sunday, September 20, 2020. Matchday two kicks off on Sunday, September 27th.

When is the season expected to conclude?

If everything goes according to plan, the 2020/2021 Serie A season will end on Sunday, May 23, 2021.

What times will the games begin on Sunday, September 20?

Please check back for specific kick-off times for the upcoming fixtures.

What broadcasters will be showing the games if I live in the USA, Canada, or in the UK?

If you live in the USA, ESPN is one option you can use to follow your favorite Italian side. The broadcast network will be showing games across its various chanels and platforms, which includes ESPN and ESPN2 as well as ESPN Deportes (for Spanish-speaking fans). ESPN+ is also providing live streaming of matches each week, and there's a Spanish-speaking variant of this as well: ESPN+ Deportes.

Now if you speak Italian, or want to hear a different kind of commentary, you don't have to travel all the way to the bel paese (which could be tricky these days for many people anyway) as Rai Italia Nord America will provide Italian-language coverage for fans living in the United States.

FuboTV is also available and will live-stream hundreds of games during the course of the season as they work closely with both ESPN and Rai Italia Nord America.

Fans based in Canada can check out TLN, DAZN (for live streaming), and Rai Italia Nord America is also availalble for Italian-speaking fans residing in Canada.

And finally, Serie A followers who call the UK home can select Premier Media, which includes FreeSports TV UK, Premier Sports 1, Premier Sports 2, and Premier Player HD. For live streaming, check out the LiveScore App.
