The Arsenal defender appears destined to return to the Blaugrana.

Barcelona are going all out for Hector Bellerin. The Blaugrana have identified the Arsenal defender as their number one target in defense, as the Catalan giants look to fill the gap left by Dani Alves.

Prying him from the Gunners will be difficult. If Wenger was to let the promising Spaniard go, it would only be for a huge sum of money.

Barcelona have a plan, though, to avoid breaking the bank for the right-back. According to Marca, the Copa Del Rey champions will offer the north London outfit one of their player in addition to money.

The Barcelona player up on the chopping board in the player-plus-cash move is Rafinha. The Brazilian has struggled to land more playing time due to competition and his struggles with fitness.

The Brazilian believes he could fit well in Arsenal’s style of play, and the feeling is mutual. Wenger looks to strengthen his midfield after a disastrous 2016/17 campaign, and the Brazilian ticks all the boxes.

Bellerin has remained tight-lipped on interest from his former club. Wenger, having already lost several stars to the Catalan giants, could refuse Valverde’s side and keep hold of the Spaniard.
