Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola is reportedly interested in managing Manchester United, if the latest reports from Spain are true.

According to Spanish football expert Graham Hunter, Pep 44, wishes to manage Manchester United after leaving Bayern Munich. The latest revelation comes just a few hours before it was revealed that the Spanish tactician was interested in managing English Premier League giants Man City due to the huge monetary rewards tabled by the club’s hierarchy.

The celebrated manager also tipped journalists last weekend that he had already made a decision about his future. Reports from Germany suggest that he is set to make a major announcement after Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga fixture against Hannover this coming weekend.

However, during an interview with BBC about the future of the former FC Barcelona tactician, Hunter explained:

''His broad plan was to draw as much from the Bayern Munich experience as possible, which included winning the Champions League.''

"I guess, if everyone is on form and fit, they'll be favourites to do that this season.''

"If the cards fall his way, his wish was to sample life at Manchester United for a variety of reasons’’

He added:

"It'd scratch an itch, which he's had since he was a player, when he met Alex Ferguson about potentially moving there at the end of Pep's career.''

"Conversations broke down, Juan Sebastian Veron came and Pep went to Qatar.''

"The move didn't happen but when he's come back to Manchester subsequently he's looked at the Old Trafford atmosphere, the legends and he has felt 'this is right for me.''

"Following which, in his grand plan, was working for Manchester United for two, three or four years, taking Brazil to the World Cup in Qatar and then assess what he wanted to do."

Apart from steering both Barca and Bayern to major titles, Pep has also won a host of other personal awards and honors, which include the Don Balon Award, Onze d’Or Coach of the Year, UEFA Team of the Year Best Coach, La Liga Coach of the Year, FIFA World Coach of the year, Globe Soccer Awards Coach Career Award, Miguel Munoz Trophy, World Soccer Magazine World Manager of the Year, among many others.
