RTV owns non-exclusive broadcast rights in Slovenia for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The free-to-air broadcaster has secured the live rights for 64 matches from the tournament, while Arena Sport will broadcast all 104 matches on pay-TV.
Of the 64 matches owned by RTV, 32 will be from the group stages, and 32 will be from the knockout stages, including the final at MetLife Stadium.

TV Slovenia 2 history, coverage, features
TV Slovenia 2 is a Slovenian public television channel owned and operated by Radiotelevizija Slovenija. The channel was launched in 1970, becoming the second television channel in the country at the time. The channel has also been referred to as TV SLO 2.Over the years, TV Slovenia 2 has been generally described as a channel with a specific target audience, since its shows are not aimed at a massive demographic. Some of the shows aired on this channel have covered topics such as commercials, sitcoms, and sports events. Although the channel has mostly included programs produced within Slovenia’s borders, some of the shows and movies presented in the channel have been produced abroad. When this has happened, the channel has dubbed the show’s original language to air it in Slovenian.
Speaking about sports, TV Slovenia 2 has frequently been used to cover disciplines such as basketball, volleyball, and other international competitions. The channel has also been used to cover some of the top football events in the world such as the FIFA World Cup.
TV Slovenia 2 was launched as a Standard Definition channel, but a High-Definition feed was developed during the late 2010s and aired in 2011. Both feeds may still be available to watch in different regions of the country.
