Sixteen year old Gilbert Fuentes says he's just a California kid chasing a dream, a dream that's begun to turn into a reality. The youngest homegrown signing for San Jose, Gilbert has already made his professional debut with Reno 1868, as well as his Earthquakes debut in a friendly against Manchester United. His accomplishments have required sacrifice, though, from Gilbert and his family, as the young pro drives 70 miles each way to training daily, and his parents do everything they can to support their son's rise as a pro. - - -
