Given the number of injuries sustained by their players, Los Blaugranas could be granted permission by the Spanish Sports Council to add the Turkish player before the transfer window opens.

Even though Barcelona is not allowed by FIFA to add new players to their roster, there seems to be a little hope for them to make Arda Turan play for them sooner than expected. According to Spanish sources, the Turkish player could join Los Culés before January, given the support of the Spanish Consejo Superior de Deportes (Sports Superior Council).

Last week, Barcelona's officers sent a request to add Turan to the team, given the number of injuries some players have sustained in the past few weeks. Particularly, Turan would be taking Rafinha's place in the squad, since his recovery time could prevent him from playing for the rest of the seaon. Despite all the evidence shown by Blaugrana officers, FIFA determined not to grant Turan the OK to play before January, since the team's transfer ban doesn't expire until 2016.

While some of the team's officers are still dubious about this approach, Barcelona has started proceedings to include Turan in the squad before the end of the year. It will be up to the league's governing body to decide if the former Atletico Madrid player can start playing before the winter.

Turan has been able to train with the current La Liga champions, but he hasn't even been granted a number due to the transfer ban that prevents Barcelona to add new players.

If Barcelona is not allowed to add Turan, the Sports Arbitrage Court would be the final stance to make him available for coach Luis Enrique, although that idea could be dismissed in order to prevent a lenghtier ban.
