Carneiro rushed into the field to help Eden Hazard but Mourinho was not pleased. She will not be able to attend matches, training and enter the hotels.

Out of everthing that happened in the 2-2 draw between Chelsea and Swansea City, the scoreline is not what has people talking after the game, but the way that Jose Mourinho reacted towards his medical staff rushing into the field to held Eden Hazard. The Special One was angry with them, specially with Eva Carneiro.

'I wasn't happy with my medical staff because even if you are a medical doctor or secretary on the bench you have to understand the game,' were the words of Mourinho following the incident. "'I was sure that Eden didn't have a serious problem. He had a knock and was very tired."

Those words did not resonate well with Eva Carneiro and her colleagues around the league. Most of them sided with the 41-year-old doctor from Gibraltar that has been working with the first team since 2011. The believe that first and foremost what Eva was doing was to protect the player.

"Maintenance of the duty of care from the doctor to the patient is fundamental to these guidelines, even when the patient is a footballer playing in a Premier League game," was read in part of a statement released by the Premier League Doctor's group. “The Premier League Doctor’s Group considers that removing Dr Eva Carneiro from the Chelsea team bench for their next match is unjust in the extreme."

Starting this week, Carneiro will not be allowed in Chelsea's training grounds, team hotel's and games, starting with the game on Sunday agiants Manchester City. This demotion of her duties with the first team could hint or lead to Carneiro quitting the team soon.

Believe it or not, there are some doctors that side with Mourinho. Ralph Rogers, a doctor that used to be in Eva's  position, claims that she has made her role look like the one of a celebrity while she has to understand her role within the organization. He also claims that Carneiro's actions during the game were impulsive.

"You’re not supposed to take centre stage if you are a physician to a team," Rogers said. "You’re not there as a cheerleader. You can play to it or you can play it down. It seems like she played to it."

Carneiro rarely uses her Facebook account, but after everything that happened over the weekend, she went on the social media account to thank everyone that has stood by her for her support. The team was schocked with Mourinho's reaction. The club has not given an official statement on Carneiro's case.

Despite all the controversy, Mourinho stands firm on his decision to freeze Carneiro. On the other side, Chelsea's owner Roman Abramovich is not happy with how Mourinho has created such a big show around Carneiro's procedure. There are many ways this could end with Carneiro quitting and suing the club or being fired, which doesn't seem to be the case as the owner of the club is siding with the doctor.
