It certainly is a good time to be an American! After the showers of praises that fell on the FBI following the Fifa arrests, it's time for the country's teams to shine on the pitch.
On Tuesday night in New Zealand, the U20 team imposed themselves 1-0 against Colombia. Before that, the USWNT got off to a fantastic start at the on-going 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup with a 3-1 Rapinoe-inspired victory over Australia.
A few days earlier, on June 5, the USMNT totally surprised the public by winning an entertaining seven-goal thriller 4-3. And they've done it again! This time, against European powerhouse Germany.
Some may insist that it was just a friendly, but this won't take away the fact that the USMNT has achieved something historic: to beat the DFB Eleven in Germany. It took an awesome strike by Bobby Wood to down the Germans in the final minutes of the game.
FINAL: USA 2, GER 1 Bobby Wood you BELIEVE it! The #USMNT has defeated the World Champs in Germany. #OneNationOneTeam
