Copa por México je prijateljski turnir koji je kreirala Meksička fudbalska federacija (FMF). Prvobitno je pokrenut kao pripremno takmičenje pre ponovnog početka fudbala u Meksiku nakon pauze izazvane pandemijom COVID-19, ali su ga timovi iz Liga MX kasnije prihvatili kako bi se pripremili pre ligaških utakmica nakon dugih pauza u takmičenju, poput one izazvane pandemijom ili Svetskim prvenstvom 2022. godine.

Takmičenje igra ograničen broj timova iz Liga MX. Prvo izdanje turnira igralo je osam timova podeljenih u dve grupe, dok je drugo izdanje održano sa deset klubova raspoređenih u dve grupe. Pobednici i drugoplasirani iz svake grupe prolaze u narednu fazu, gde se pobednik određuje izvođenjem penala.

Zanimljivo je da su oba izdanja Copa por México imala iste timove u finalu: Cruz Azul i Guadalajara. Oba turnira osvojio je Cruz Azul.

Televizijska prava za ovo takmičenje u Sjedinjenim Američkim Državama dodeljena su TUDN USA. U Meksiku, takmičenje je bilo dostupno za gledanje na TUDN México i putem Sky Sports, dok je mobilna platforma Blue to Go Video Everywhere pružala pokrivenost za korisnike mobilnih uređaja.
