The French ace was key to PSG's away win against Bayern, and his presence in the return leg could be decisive to finish them off.

The game between Bayern and PSG had something for all fans, and aside from Keylor Navas' massive performance, the field player with the most praise earned had to be none other than Kylian Mbappé.

Once again, the French superstar stepped up for PSG when his team needed him the most by scoring a brace against the defending champions. The first of his goals came thanks to a disappointing performance by Manuel Neuer, while the other one came during the second half of the match in a striking counter-attack that concluded with a powerful shot to which Neuer had no reaction after a nutmeg on Jerome Boateng.

Mbappé's second goal also helped the footballer reach a milestone that previously belonged to Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The former Monaco man has now scored more KO stage goals (7) than Zlatan (6) or any other player in PSG's history.

But that was not the only record Mbappé earned for himself with his display at Allianz Arena. The French footballer is now the only player to score as many away goals in the first two KO rounds of the competition in the same season. Remember his hat-trick against Barcelona? Well, add today's brace to that tally and you've got yourself a new record!

Now, Pochettino and PSG will have to wait and see if that limp shown by Mbappé by the end of the game gives them no reason to worry, because if it isn't, then PSG will have quite a few chances of making it to the next round with Mbappé leading the pack.
