The Barcelona forward is on the Gunners' radar and a move in the winter transfer window could be on the cards.

Arsenal is reportedly considering a January move for out-of-favor Barcelona winger Malcom. Per reports, the Gunners want to take the Brazilian on loan in the winter transfer window.

Malcom, following his controversial move from Bordeaux earlier this summer, has failed to break into the Blaugrana's starting eleven. While occasionally receiving a brief run outs, the forward currently faces stiff competition from his side's immense attacking talent, with the likes of Luis Suarez, Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele all getting the nod ahead of him.

The 21-year-old rose to prominence and attracted the media's attention by impressing for Bordeaux last season. The winger scored a total of 12 goals while bagging a host of assists in 38 games across all competitions.

Having initially been tipped to join AS Roma after an agreement was reached between his former club Bordeaux, Malcom sparked controversy with a move to Barcelona instead. The latter reportedly submitted an offer too good to refuse to the French club and their player at the 11th hour after failing to sign Willian from Chelsea. The player is said to have cost the Catalans a fee in the region of  €42 million ($48.4 million)

At Barcelona, Malcom has played in two out of eight games this season with an average of 12 minutes per game. Despite shining in the preseason, the Brazilian youngster is yet to get on the scoresheet for the Catalans.

According to Spanish publication Sport, Arsenal remains frontrunners in the race to secure the service of the ex-Bordeaux star. The London club, under the supervision of Unai Emery, is aiming at beefing up its attacking ranks after a stellar start to life in the English Premier League this season.

The club currently sits in the fifth position on the league log with 18 points after eight games. With the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexander Lacazatte already excelling in attack for the Emirates outfit, Malcom's addition will undoubtedly come as a huge boost.

Arsenal's local rivals Tottenham Hotspur and the Serie A's Inter Milan are also believed to be keenly monitoring the winger's situation at Barcelona.
