May 19, 2018 will forever be drilled in the memory of Juventus' fans, as Gianluigi Buffon ended his 17-year stint with La Vecchia Signora.
The 40-year-old shot-stopper managed to keep a clean sheet in his final game, even if the clash between Juventus and Hellas Verona ended with a 2-1 score (he was subbed off before Verona's goal).
After 63 minutes, coach Massimiliano Allegri decided that it was time for the fans to bid one last farewell to Buffon. Players and fans inside Allianz Stadium joined in a standing ovation, with many of them shedding tears for their departing hero.

But it didn't end there for Buffon. The departing goalkeeper made it his goal to say goodbye to as much fans as he could by walking all around the pitch, greeting all fans (some of them weeping) that were in the first-row seats.
