One reason why the trip to Santiago Bernabeu will weigh heavily on Luis Enrique’s mind is the absence of Neymar. The Brazilian will be available for the second leg Champions League quarter-final tie, but will miss Sunday’s league clash due to his three-match suspension.

As you can see, Neymar’s goal contribution this season isn’t eye-catching. He has scored and assisted 18 goals. Although his assists tally is one more than Messi’s the Argentine has scored more than three times as many goals.

Neymar has been the creative player this season despite boasting less assists than Suarez. The number of chances created and key passes by the 25-year-old is greater than his MSN buddies. The former Santos ace even boasts more successful take-ons than the master dribbler Messi (61%).
Then there are the fouls Neymar wins, more than Messi and Suarez combined. With Barcelona boasting several free-kick specialists, a foul anywhere near the box is an excellent opportunity to score. Unfortunately, Barcelona will be without all of this in El Clasico on Sunday due to the Brazilian’s suspension.
