Lionel Messi sat down with Uruguayan show Por la camiseta, which was aired on Monday. The Argentine footballer, known for being closed, spoke about several different topics.
One of the more interesting issues involved his son, Thiago, the older of his two boys. The four-year old is a regular at Camp Nou, watching his father tear defenses apart from the stands.
However, La Pulga revealed a surprising revelation: his son doesn’t like football. According to the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, Thiago only attends games to hang out with his buddies.
“He does not like (football) much, really. He goes because Benja [Suarez’s son] and some schoolmates go, but he is not a fan.
“He’s not like him [Suarez’s son] who is all day with the ball.”
So there goes our hope of seeing Thiago lift the Ballon d’Or in 2037.
