On November 18, Chile will host South American rivals Uruguay. Being this their final international game of the year, both sides will try to finish this year with a victory against one of their historic opponents.

Chile and Uruguay will have another go at each other before the year is over. One of the most gruesome rivalries in South America will add one more chapter to its history, having the Chileans playing their top football in decades against the Uruguayan side, which will have to make some experiments in various positions.

Chile get to this match after destroying Venezuela during their last friendly match. In fact, Chile's last defeat came during the World Cup against the Netherlands, having both teams alternating their squads. Jorge Sampaoli's crew remain undefeated after the World Cup, with three matches won and two draws against Mexico and Bolivia.

Besides Alexis Sanchez and Arturo "The King" Vidal, the Chilean team will have a close look at Jorge Valdivia's second game after coming back from a supposed retirement from the National Team. Valdivia was one of the stars against Venezuela, scoring a goal and handing an assist for another.

On the other hand, Uruguay will try to find some answers to some predicaments Oscar Tabarez must have in mind. After their World Cup elimination, the Charruas have held five friendly matches with a not so pleasing outcome. Their last game against Costa Rica ended up with a 3-3 score, having the visitors taking away the result on penalty kicks. Coach Tabarez has not been happy with their performance, since the Uruguayans have faced lower ranked teams such as South Korea, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Japan.

Furthermore, this match will be a good chance for Tabarez to find a suitable replacement for Luis Suarez, since he will not be able to play next year's Copa America. With that on their mind, the Uruguayan Association decided to release Suarez, forcing the coach to observe some other players to fill the controversial striker's spot. Uruguay's most serious test will come on Tuesday, and Chile will try to confirm that their recent performances can make them look as favorites for the tournament they will host next year.
