Live streaming and TV options for 2025/2026 season
The BBC has retained non-exclusive FA Cup rights from 2025-26 to 2028-29 in the United Kingdom and Ireland, following a multi-year extension deal. As per its sub-licensing agreement with TNT Sports, which is owned by commercial broadcaster Warner Brothers Discovery (WBD), the BBC continues to provide free-to-air coverage of the FA Cup from the 2025-26 through the 2028-29 campaigns.
The public broadcaster has carried matches from English football’s oldest cup competition since 2012. Under its current arrangement with TNT and WBD, the BBC offers live coverage of 14 FA Cup matches per season on its linear channels and streaming platform, BBC iPlayer. The matches broadcasted and streamed by the BBC include: two FA Cup games from each round up to the quarter-finals, one semi-final match, and the tournament final. In addition to broadcasting and streaming matches, the BBC offers highlights and other content across its various platforms.
STV holds the official broadcast rights to the FA Cup in the United Kingdom. The deal covers seasons 2024-2028.
TNT Sports, owned by Warner Brothers Discovery (WBD), has reacquired domestic FA Cup rights in the UK from 2025-26 to 2028-29. The commercial broadcaster shows all matches live, starting from the FA Cup third round, on its linear and digital platforms, except for a domestic blackout period that begins at 3 pm UK time.
Viewers can watch FA Cup matches live on the network’s family of linear channels – such as TNT Sports 1 and TNT Sports 2 – or stream games via WBD’s streaming service, Discovery+, after signing up for the “Premium Pass” option on the Discovery Plus website. Streaming the FA Cup live on Discovery+ in the UK and Ireland can be done on multiple devices, including mobiles (Android and iOS), tablets (Android, Apple, and Amazon Fire), smart TVs and streaming devices (Amazon Fire, Apple TV, Android TV, Google Chromecast, LG, Samsung, Roku, Hisense, Sony), computers (with Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge browsers), and gaming consoles.
TNT Sports’ linear and digital FA Cup coverage is supplemented by bonus content, including match highlights, replays, pre- and post-match analysis, and interviews with star players and coaches.
