Canal Plus has extended its non-exclusive French-language LaLiga media rights in multiple African territories until 2027. The commercial TV broadcaster’s contract covers the 2024-25 through the 2026-27 LaLiga seasons. It includes the following countries: Algeria, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mayotte, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Reunion, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

LaLiga fans in these sub-Saharan African countries can watch live Spanish Primera División games via Canal Plus’s linear channels: Canal+ Sport 3 Afrique and Canal+ Sport 5 Afrique. To view matches in full HD, subscribers in some countries will have to purchase an HD decoder from Canal for an additional fee. Live and on-demand streaming of LaLiga matches is available using the Canal+ app, myCANAL.

myCANAL streams live LaLiga games and highlights in HD in Francophone countries on multiple platforms, including mobiles and tablets (Android and iOS), desktop and laptop computers (PCs and Macs in web browsers), select smart TVs (Samsung, LG), streaming devices (Apple TV), and gaming consoles (PlayStation and Xbox). Viewers can access some of Canal Plus’s live and on-demand streaming content on the network’s website but will need a full subscription to view all content. Canal + Afrique subscribers can choose from several monthly packages depending on their preference. However, they must select at least the third-tier package ("Access+") to access LaLiga games on their TVs and other devices.

New World TV (NWTV) has acquired non-exclusive LaLiga media rights in multiple sub-Saharan African territories from 2024-25 to 2028-29. The Togo-based commercial provider offers free-to-air coverage of select LaLiga matches in Togo. It has also secured a sublicensing agreement to show LaLiga games on a free-to-air basis in Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritius, Niger, Rwanda, Senegal, and the Seychelles.

LaLiga matches are shown in Togo and select sub-Saharan countries on New World TV’s linear channel, New World Sport3. Fans can also stream games using the New World Sport App, which is accessible on mobiles and tablets (Android and iOS) after downloading it from Google Play or the App Store.

SuperSport retains its non-exclusive LaLiga media rights in sub-Saharan Africa after extending its prior TV deal. The South African commercial broadcaster covers the following countries, in addition to South Africa: Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mayotte, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Republic of the Congo, Reunion, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

SuperSport subscribers can watch and stream LaLiga games live in Africa on multiple platforms due to the network’s partnership with DStv. Supported streaming devices include: mobiles and tablets (Android, iOS, and Huwaei), smart TVs (Hisense, LG, Samsung, and Android TV), laptops and desktop computers (PCs and Macs in web browsers), streaming devices (Amazon Fire TV, Nvidia Shield, and Xiaomi Mi Box), and gaming consoles (Xbox). Viewers seeking both TV broadcast and streaming coverage must ensure that they also purchase a DStv dish, with games shown on SuperSport’s linear channels.

Select African countries, including South Africa, also broadcast some LaLiga games on SuperSport’s Portuguese-language channels: SuperSport MáXimo 1, SuperSport MáXimo 3, and SuperSport MáXimo 360. Other linear channels include SuperSport LaLiga, which offers match commentary and analysis in English. Fans not looking to sign up for a DStv package can still watch some LaLiga match highlights via the SuperSport App. The app is free to download and use for users in sub-Saharan Africa and is compatible with different mobiles, including Android, Apple, and Huawei.

In Côte d'Ivoire, fans can watch live La Liga matches on RTI La 3, available on both TV and streaming platforms. Coverage is confirmed for seasons 2024-2029.

DAZN operates the official LaLiga Channel worldwide through a two-season partnership covering 2025-26 and 2026-27. The channel is free to access globally and is available only on the DAZN platform.

Programming includes matchday highlights of every game, LaLiga-produced content, and additional non-live formats. The service is positioned alongside DAZN's existing football properties, which feature UEFA competitions, FIFA+ programming, Serie A, Bundesliga, and the J.League.

DAZN already holds live LaLiga rights in Spain and carries coverage in markets such as Portugal, Italy, Germany, Austria, Japan, and Belgium. The LaLiga Channel adds a global highlights package to those existing agreements.
