It was launched on November 12, 2015, as part of the package known as Ziggo Sport Totaal, which has included other sports-specific channels over the years.

Ziggo Sport Select has been considered as Ziggo Sport Totaal’s main channel, with most of its content being mirrored on Ziggo Sport 14, a channel not included in the multi-channel package. The content aired on this channel over the years has focused on bringing fans closer to major sporting events such as football games, motorsports events, tennis tournaments, basketball games, and golf competitions.
