About Ziggo Sport 14

Ziggo Sport 14 is a Dutch television channel owned by VodafoneZiggo (a joint venture between Vodafone and Liberty Global) and operated by Ziggo. It was launched on February 1, 2006, as Sport1, a channel that replaced Canal+ in the Netherlands and which kept the name until 2015, when it was rebranded as Ziggo Sport 14. 

Ziggo Sport 14 has been available since its launch for subscribers to this service, with its focus being the broadcast of major sporting events, documentaries, sports-related films. Over the years, the channel has aired the same content as Ziggo Sport Select, one of the service’s channels that can be available to non-Ziggo subscribers.

Speaking about football, Ziggo Sport 14 has been able to cover events such as the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup, the UEFA Women’s Champions League, and domestic competitions such as the English Premier League, the Italian Serie A, the Spanish Primera División, or the Belgian Pro League. Only the top games from each league will be available on this channel.

The channel has been available since its launch in High Definition, although a downscaled version of this feed is available to those users who have not switched to HD technology.

Ziggo Sport 14 Broadcast Rights

Premier LeagueZiggo Sport has acquired exclusive multi-platform English Premier League rights in the Netherlands. The Dutch pay-TV broadcaster will telecast live matches and air match highlights to its subscribers, as well as provide Premier League streams on its OTT platforms for computers and mobile devices.
UEFA Champions LeagueZiggo Sport has acquired UEFA Champions League rights in the Netherlands, and will air live matches on its TV channels and online streaming service until 2021. Broadcasts will include both full matches and summaries, as well as the UEFA Super Cup. Multicast coverage may also be provided to let subscribers stay updated on goals and other events from various games being played at the same time.
La Liga
Spain - La Liga (2018-2021)
Pay-TV broadcaster Ziggo Sport has reached an agreement with La Liga to broadcast at least 6 matches per round of Spain's first division live on its platform. La Liga games telecast live on the platform will be available to stream live on the broadcaster's digital service Ziggo Sport Total for computers, tablets and smartphones.
UEFA Nations LeagueZiggo Sports owns the broadcasting rights in the Netherlands for the European qualifying matches for the 2020 UEFA Euro Cup and the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The agreement goes until 2022 and also includes coverage of the Netherland's Men's National Team in the UEFA Nations League. Matches will be aired on Ziggo Sport and Ziggo Sport Totaal.

England - FA Cup (2018-2021)
Ziggo Sport has acquired the broadcast rights in the Netherlands for the English FA Cup for three seasons: 2018-19 to 2020-21.
Serie A
Italy - Serie A (2018-2021)
Ziggo Sport has acquired Italian Serie A rights in the Netherlands through to 2021. The Dutch pay-TV broadcaster will air select matches on its platform, which consists of premium TV sports channels and its OTT service Ziggo Sport Totaal. The latter, which in fact acts as a TV Everywhere service, will stream Serie A matches live to Dutch subscribers and may also provide video highlights on demand.
