About
beIN Box Office 1 History, Coverage, Features
BeIN Box Office is a concept of channels created by Digiturk and operated by the beIN Media Group. The channels were launched on February 9, 1999 under the name Vizyon, but that name would change to Salon in the early 2000s. The channels would be rebranded on January 13, 2017 as beIN Box Office. All channels that have been included in this concept have operated on a pay-per-view scheme.
Initially, beIN Box Office was launched with five different channels. That would change in 2003, when Salon 1, Salon 2, and Salon 3 were left available for users to watch.
BeIN Box Office 1 can be categorized as a general entertainment pay-per-view channel. The channel has specialized in broadcasting foreign and local movies. Added to that, beIN Box Office has included some sports events to add depth to its offer.
Some of the sports events that may be available on this channel are those to which beIN Sports has acquired broadcasting rights in the country. Football tournaments that could be available on these channels include the Turkish Super League, the Italian Serie A, the French Ligue 1, the EFL Championship, the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League, the UEFA Super Cup, and the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
BeIN Box Office started airing its content in Standard Definition, but a High-Definition feed was developed and eventually launched once the channels were bought by the beIN Media Group. The SD feeds have been shut down, which means that all content from these channels is aired in High Definition.
The published listings of live, re-aired, and on-demand match and program events published on this website are broadcast by the official rights holders.
