Jovem Pan is a network of radio stations in Brazil. It was launched on May 3, 1943 as Radio Panamericana, but it would eventually change its name to Jovem Pan in 1965. It is owned and operated by the Grupo Jovem Pan, and it works with over 140 affiliates in Brazil. The radio network is considered one of the most important media outlets in the South American country.
Over the years, Jovem Pan and its many affiliates have brought general entertainment, news, music, and sports to their nationwide audience. The network decided to divide its programming into two segments to offer better broadcasts, one of them dealt with music, while the other one focused on news, sports, and special events.
Speaking about sports, Jovem Pan has frequently been involved in football broadcasts, which have featured most of the best teams in Brazil. Local stations might be involved in covering regional teams, while the main broadcaster may choose to air any given game featuring some of the most popular teams in the country. Regional and national tournaments have been covered by Jovem Pan’s affiliate networks over the years.
