Few are those who haven’t fallen for Barcelona’s distinctive football. Villarreal’s Nilmar has now admitted to be part of the Blaugrana’s admirers.
Villarreal are currently 4th in the standings with 54 points as Los Che and they are hoping to overturn the 3-1 defeat they suffered against Barcelona in November 2010. Confidence will be key for the Yellow Submarines to upset the Catalans but instead of stressing the importance of remaining focus as a team, Villarreal’s second top scorer Nilmar has rather expressed his desire to honour Barcelona’s colours in the future.

“It would be a dream come true to play for a big team like Barcelona,” the Brazilian told Marca.

“Barca and Real Madrid are the biggest clubs in the world and it would be great to wear Barcelona’s jersey at one point in my career.

“Who knows what the future will bring? My wish is to join a bigger club one day. Anyways, I am under contract at Villarreal and I am feeling very well at the club.”

On Saturday, El Madrigal will be rocked by La Liga’s match of the week – Villarreal vs Barcelona. Whereas Lionel Messi presently remains a doubt for this encounter, the Yellow Submarines are looking to take their chances as they keep competing against Valencia for the 3rd automatic Champions League spot.
