A total of 15 nations qualified for the finals of the tournament which was meant to be hosted by Morocco. However, the North African country pulled out over fears of the spread of the Ebola virus. This got them banned by CAF as Equatorial Guinea came forward to become the new hosts of the competition's 30th edition.
