Chelsea put six goals past Nordsjalland in perhaps their most outstanding performance of the season - also their last 2012/13 Champions League fixture.
Oscar scored his fifth goal of the Champions League and Fernando Torres hit a brace. Gary Cahill, Juan Mata and David Luiz all found the net as well in a match which saw two penalty saves.
Unfortunately for the Blues, Juventus beat Shakhtar Donetsk in the section's other fixture. The UEFA Europa League trophy is the only thing at stake for Chelsea in Europe.
"I look now at the Europa League like the Champions League. It's glamorous for me because I don't have this title, so I want to win it," Brazilian defender David Luiz told the press afterward.
"We won the Champions League last season and this season we went out in the group, it's a little bit sad but at the end of the day we're looking at another competition for the future."
With the kind of form they displayed against Nordsjalland, Rafael Benitez's side could go all the way to succeeding Atletico Madrid as Europa League champions.
