After ending their winless run, Bayern now travel to face Mainz. On paper at least, this looks like a comfortable three points for the Bavarian titans. Mainz have failed to win their last five games, and more important, they have also failed to score during that miserable run. Although the hosts have managed to keep a clean sheet in six of their last eight home games, they are not picking up points, with just two out of a possible 15 from their recent quintet of fixtures, and Bayern naturally have the superior recent head to head record here, with wins in 11 of their last 13 meetings across all competitions.

Talking point - Borussia Dortmund to maintain unbeaten run against potentially tricky Hertha Berlin?

Dortmund have been in excellent form all season, and so far die Schwarzgelben are unbeaten in both the Bundesliga and in the Champions League. They come into their clash with Hertha Berlin having crushed Atletico Madrid 4-0, which is the worst ever loss Los Rojiblancos have suffered in European competition under Diego Simeone's men, and in terms of the Bundesliga, sit three points clear of the chasing pack.

Still, their fans will probably be a bit nervous, especially with Bayern winning their fixture against Wolfsburg last weekend. Although die Roten are four points back, we have all seen this time and time again, where Bayern suffer a small stumble only to come roaring back and overtake everyone else. Usually, the turning point ends up being Der Klassiker, where they beat Dortmund and it's pretty much game over for the rest of the season. Dortmund will certainly want to put as much distance between them and Bayern before the first Klassiker meeting takes place on November 10th, but Hertha Berlin have been pretty solid themselves this season. They have already beaten Bayern Munich 2-0 and certainly will want to pick up another major scalp this weekend.
