Having entered the game with a five-goal deficit, Besiktas needed all the help they could get inside their own backyard. However, although help came, it certainly didn’t come in the form the Turkish side possibly expected.
An uncanny side-scene involving a stray ginger cat forced the game to be momentarily suspended while the hosts were two goals down. The little visitor might have instigated a change after all as the Vodafone Park outfit managed to pull one back after the game was resumed.
