Changing a club logo is nothing out of the blue in the football world. Atletico Madrid did just that – design a new crest – not too long ago, a move which has been undertaken by most clubs at one point or two in their history.
Redesigning a logo usually doesn't involve anything drastic – just retouching the current badge that fans have come to love. Juventus decided on doing the exact opposite, however.
The Italian giants got rid of their famous crest – the black and white stripes inside an oval-like shape with “Juventus” written in it. The club’s name stays, but it adopts a more simplistic, modern look with the letter “J” in it.
The Bianconeri, who will put this new logo into use from July 2017, claim (as per their official website) it “represents the very essence of Juventus: the distinctive stripes of the playing jersey, the Scudetto – the symbol of victory – and the iconic J for Juventus”.
However, fans were not too happy about the new look. Many made fun of the logo on Twitter, whilst others just couldn’t understand what was wrong with the previous logo to warrant this new logo.

Juventus' first mistake is calling it a 'logo'. Football clubs have crests/badges, business's have logos.
