Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo, with 40 goals in 41 caps, is the undisputed leader of Real Madrid's attack.
It's been almost a year and a half since Cristiano Ronaldo joined Real Madrid, becoming one of the main engines that keep Real Madrid's wheels into motion. His debut in La Liga could have hardly been more promising, scoring at least one goal per match in his first four La Liga appearances. This season he's contributed greatly to Jose Mourinho's scheme, with 12 goals and 5 assists in 12 games.

"Real Madrid is a radically different squad this year. We have not yet lost a single game in La Liga or in the Champions League. We've grown a lot in the last three months and there could be no better time to visit the Camp Nou than this one," said CR7 regarding El Clasico.

Cristiano Ronaldo suffered an ankle injury in the first game of the season that kept him sidelined for two weeks. Madrid managed to claim the six points in play during his absence but suffered much more than expected against relatively "weak" rivals.

Responsible for over a third of the goals scored by Jose Mourinho's Merengues so far this season, Ronaldo will most likely be one of the main characters during El Clasico come Monday. Will Barcelona defenders have what it takes to stop such a prolific winger from scoring?

"I know some people envy me. There's always something to criticize: Whether I'm the most expensive footballer in the world, because I've won all these awards or because I earn more money than this guy or the other. I won't let that envy affect me" said Ronaldo, absolutely focused on El Clasico and nothing more.

Real Madrid is growing more and more dependent on Cristiano Ronaldo as Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain struggles to reach last year's level. Angel Di Maria and Mesut Ozil, on the other hand, have shown to be perfectly capable of leading the attack.

Di Maria and Higuain's partnership has not been as effective this year as one could have expected, but they're the kind of players that can unleash brutal energies when least expected. They know Lionel Messi's style better than any other Merengue and such knowledge might come in handy to defend the top position.

Two Spaniards can also contribute greatly to Real Madrid's attack, if given a chance among the starting squad. Sergio Canales and Pedro Leon have taken full advantage of the opportunities granted by Jose Mourinho, and they might bring the surprise factor against Barcelona at the Camp Nou.

And there's Karim Benzema too. His awakening has been decisive for Real Madrid to remain as a candidate in the Copa del Rey, the Champions League and in La Liga.

If Pep Guardiola's back line manages to neutralize Cristiano Ronaldo during El Clasico, the French international might bring the answer to what could be a dead trap for Jose Mourinho's Merengues in Barcelona.

The consequences of the Galactic clash of forces at the Camp Nou on Monday are unknown, but it can shake the very foundations of La Liga fight. Who'll claim the three points between Barcelona and Real Madrid in El Clasico?
