Cristiano Ronaldo has opened up about his recent poor form for Real Madrid. The 31-year-old has failed to find the back of the next in his last four appearances at the Santiago Bernabeu, his worst performance since moving to Madrid from Manchester in 2009.
He was also booed by Madridistas during their club’s game against Athletic Bilbao last weekend when Zidane took Isco off the game in the 65th minute. Some fans of Los Blancos seemed dissatisfied with the manager’s decision considering that Ronaldo seemed to be struggling throughout the entire match.
But speaking to Coach Magazine [as per the Daily Mail], CR7 claimed that his critics and ‘haters’ are the reason he has achieved greatness in his glittering career. He said:
''You have to use negative people and experiences to motivate you.
'I actually need my haters, they have helped me achieve all I have achieved.’’
Widely considered as one of the greatest players to have ever graced this beautiful game, Ronaldo’s career consists of a host of trophies. The major ones include three Premier League titles, one FA Cup, a hat-trick of Champions League titles, one La Liga title, two Copa del Rey titles, on European Championship, and three Ballon d’Ors. And, the ex-Man Utd man could win his fourth Ballon d’Or in January after being nominated once again for this year’s edition of the most coveted individual award for any footballer in the world.
