Tuesday's performance against Leicester City might be more relevant for Cesc Fabregas than ever.
With fans demanding his presence in Chelsea's starting lineup against Arsenal, the Spanish midfielder left it up to coach Antonio Conte to make the call and include him in Sunday's Starting XI against his former team.
"All my team-mates deserve respect. My coach deserves respect because I know he wants to win and if he doesn’t play me there is always a reason. Hopefully I can open his eyes and make him see that I deserve to play,” Fabregas stated.
Good win last night. Hopefully more to come. Thanks for the amazing support.pic.twitter.com/FsYuAkjdXI

Despite being left broken hearted by Conte's decision to bench him, Fabregas is not thinking about throwing in the towel. In fact, he wants this couple of goals to prove Conte he can be a starter, and if he doesn't achieve that, he'll keep cheering for his team-mates.
"I’m not going to deny I want to play every single minute – it’s what I work for – but the coach chooses the 11 he thinks is best suited to win the game. And that’s it. Wherever I am I will support the team. Inside, outside and when my time comes I will try to perform as I have been doing over the last few weeks," the player added.
Chelsea will face Arsenal next Sunday, hoping to bounce back from their 2-1 loss against Liverpool last Friday.
