Under its contract with UEFA, Nine Network broadcasts all 203 Champions League matches. Viewers can stream the Champions League live in Australia via Stan Sport, Nine Network’s subscription OTT (over-the-top) streaming service. In addition, Nine Network offers both TV broadcasts and live streams of the 2025, 2026, and 2027 UEFA Champions League finals on its free-to-air linear channel, 9Network and its corresponding video-on-demand (VOD) service, 9Now.

Stan Sport subscribers can also watch bonus Champions League content, both live and on demand. Key features include full streaming of matches (live and replays) and dedicated football shows, including Champions League highlights and the Champions League magazine show.

Fans seeking highlights of games have several options: rapid recaps, which generally are five minutes or less; general highlights, about ten minutes or less; and mini-matches, which are highlights compiled into 20 to 25-minute overviews of games. Access to this auxiliary UEFA Champions League content is available either via Stan Sport’s website or via the Stan app in Australia.
Nine Network continues to be Australia’s exclusive broadcaster for the UEFA Europa League from 2024 to 2027 following a three-year extension. The network broadcasts all Europa League games via its family of linear channels and streams matches, both live and on-demand via its streaming service, Stan Sport.

Subscribers to Stan Sport can stream matches in 1080 HD, depending on their internet speed and strength. In addition to streaming games live and on-demand, fans can access shoulder programming on Stan Sport’s website and via the Stan Sport app.

Bonus content includes magazine shows and different types of match highlights. Highlights offered on Stan’s platform include the following: rapid recaps, which generally are five minutes or less; general highlights, which are about ten minutes or less; and mini-matches, which are highlights compiled into 20 to 25-minute overviews of games.
Nine Network has extended its exclusive UEFA Conference League broadcast rights in Australia for an additional three years, covering the 2024-25, 2025-26, and 2026-27 seasons. This allows fans in Australia to watch all 153 UEFA Conference League matches per season ad-free on the broadcaster’s streaming subscription service, Stan Sport, with select fixtures available in 4K Ultra HD.
Stan Sports has the exclusive broadcasting rights to show live coverage of the Premier League in Australia. The online premium streaming platform secured the current deal in 2025, courtesy of a $300m agreement between Nine Entertainment and previous rights holders, Optus Sport. All 380 Premier League matches each season are shown live on Stan Sport.
Stan Sport is the exclusive Women’s Super League broadcaster in Australia. The subscription-based streaming service secured the rights for the 2025-26 WSL season through a deal between the league and Nine Network, Stan’s parent company. As a result, women’s soccer fans in Australia can watch all 132 WSL games live and on demand on Stan Sport.

About

Stan Sport history, coverage, features

Stan Sport is a premium add-on package for the Australian streaming service, Stan. Formerly known as StreamCo Media, Stan was founded by Nine Entertainment and Fairfax Media before being renamed in December 2014, with the platform officially launching the following month in January 2015.

Stan operates on a subscription basis, meaning that viewers in Australia must first subscribe to Stan before they can purchase the Stan Sport add-on. Notably, Stan Sport is unavailable through cable or satellite services, as it can only be accessed via the Stan app and its official website.

The streaming platform broadcasts several major sporting events, including various football competitions. In 2021, Stan began exclusively covering European club competitions—such as the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, Conference League, and Youth League—in Australia through a three-year deal that ran until 2024. This agreement was later extended for an additional three years (2024-2027) in May 2023.

In addition to football, Stan Sport features a wide range of other sports. Major events include the Olympics (both summer and winter), tennis tournaments, rugby matches, and motor racing. Noteworthy competitions aired on the platform include the World Rally Championship, the Six Nations, Major League Rugby, the Australian Open, French Open, US Open, Wimbledon, and the Laver Cup.

Select competitions are available live and on-demand via Stan Sport. It's important to note that the coverage of these sporting events is contingent upon broadcast rights agreements, which are subject to change and renewal.

Stan Sport is accessible in HD and, in certain cases, 4K UHD across a variety of internet-connected devices. This includes smart TVs, smartphones, tablets, streaming devices, set-top boxes, gaming consoles, computers, and laptops, among others.
