SBT has secured free-to-air rights in Brazil for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This rights package for the World Cup, taking place in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, comes courtesy of a sublicense deal negotiated by LiveMode, FIFA’s exclusive media rights sales agency in Brazil.
This means fans in Brazil can watch 32 live games from the 2026 FIFA World Cup for free on SBT.

2024-2027
SBT maintains its non-exclusive UEFA Champions League broadcast rights in Brazil after signing a three-year extension with UEFA. The free-to-air TV provider’s deal covers the 2024-25, 2025-26, and 2026-27 seasons of the Champions League and gives SBT rights to broadcast one game per round on Tuesdays.

Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão (SBT) is a free-to-air television network in Brazil.The network has over 100 channels available across all regions in Brazil, in addition to one national channel.
The Abravanel Family owns SBT, and it first started broadcasting in Brazil back in 1981. The broadcaster has continued to grow year on year ever since.
The programming across SBT’s stable of channels varies greatly from news and entertainment to sport and reality television.
Over the years, SBT has owned the broadcast rights to some of the biggest events in the sporting world, including several editions of the summer Olympic Games, including the 2016 edition in Rio de Janeiro.
In terms of football, the network has also previously aired live coverage of the FIFA World Cup and the Copa America, two tournaments that the Brazilian national team has frequently won.
Live football coverage on SBT frequently comes with live Portuguese-language commentary and analysis from a team of experts. Notable names that regularly appear on such coverage include host Mauro Beting and commentator Teo Jose.
SBS national channel is available on linear TV across Brazil. It can also be streamed via the +SBT app, which can be downloaded for free onto iOS and Android devices in the country.
