The Copa Verde is a regional knockout tournament that is held annually. A total of 24 teams participate, with the contestants being clubs from the North and Central-West regions, plus Espírito Santo. The champion earns a ticket to the Copa do Brasil round of 16. The cup is organized by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).
