Elisa Viihde Viaplay is a video-on-demand streaming service owned and operated by the Swedish Company MTG. The service was launched in 2007 under the name Viasat OnDemand, but that name would change to Viaplay in 2011. The service would undergo one more rebranding in Finland when Viaplay merged with Finnish company Elisa Viihde Aitio in 2020, changing the platform’s name to Elisa Viihde Viaplay.
The platform has been known over the years for offering live streaming options to watch TV series, movies, sports, and more. The service has given users the chance to choose over two options on how to stream content: one of them offers the opportunity to stream unlimited content, while the other has provided the chance to rent or buy a specific show or live event to stream.
