About Fox Sports 2 Cono Norte
Fox Sports 2 is a subscription sports television channel owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company Latin America. The channel was launched in 2009 under the name Fox Sports +, but it would later be rebranded to Fox Sports 2 on November 5, 2012. The channel is available in most Latin American regions, but geo-restrictions have forced the channel to drop some of its content in North America.
Over the years, Fox Sports 2 has made a name for itself with its live coverage of sports events such as football, American football, baseball, motorsports, and wrestling events. Fox Sports 2 has been frequently used as an overflow channel when more than one live event is taking place, taking the second most relevant competition available to broadcast.
Speaking about football, Fox Sports 2 has covered international competitions such as the CONCACAF Champions League, the UEFA Europa League, and the UEFA Champions League. Other local tournaments covered by this network have included the Mexican Primera División, or Liga MX, as well as the Copa MX.
Fox Sports 2 started airing content in Standard Definition, but an HD feed has been available for fans to use since February 25, 2014. Users who do not have access to that technology can watch Fox Sports 2 on a downscaled version of the HD feed.
