Even though Real Madrid's execs told the shot-stopper they would like him to stay, the Spanish international wants to speak with Los Blancos' new coach to decide if he stays or if he listens to other offers.

After one of his most controversial seasons as Real Madrid's goalkeeper, Iker Casillas' future with the club is still uncertain. Last week, Jose Angel Sanchez, one of the team's execs, told the shot-stopper from Móstoles that Los Blancos wanted him back for next season, despite their interest in signing David De Gea. With that in mind, Casillas decided to meet with Rafael Benítez, who should be unveiled as new manager this week, so he knows what are the new coach's thoughts about the so called "war" to defend Los Merengues' net.

Sources indicate Casillas is still being sought out by a number of top European teams, with Turkish club Besiktas willing to offer a big amount of money to sign the 2010 World Cup champion. If that deal does not go through, Casillas is kept in the radar of several top teams, including two Premier League sides, two more from the Serie A, and one more from the French Ligue 1.

These are some thoughts about what could happen with the experienced goalkeeper in the near future.

Once Benitez takes full responsibility of Real Madrid's locker room, Casillas will make a decision about where he will work next year. Everything seems fit for him to continue at least one more season with the club, although some offers could tempt him away for one last big deal before his playing days are over.
