SBS is a free-to-air television channel that operates exclusively in Australia.The channel, which is owned by the Special Broadcasting Service in Australia, was launched in 1980 and has been consistently one of the most-watched television channels in the country ever since.
The programming on SBS is varied, from news, current affairs and sports to comedy, reality TV, and drama. In terms of sport, the channel has a history of having the broadcast rights to some of the world's biggest events, including the Ashes, the Super Bowl, and the Tour de France.
Live football has also featured on the channel over the years, with action from the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, and FA Cup all featuring. Additionally, SBS has owned the live broadcast rights to every edition of the FIFA World Cup since 1986.
