The campaign carries on in the French top-flight, with Pochettino's side taking on Nantes over the weekend while Lyon lock horns with Lens in their race to qualify for Europe.

Ligue 1's 2021/22 campaign continues as fans prepare to welcome Matchday 25 of the French top-flight. As usual, the action gets underway on Friday, with Lille kicking things off with their home clash vs Metz. However, the weekend is typically when the fun goes down, and in this round, nothing is different.

Only two games are scheduled for Saturday, one of which will see league leaders PSG host Nantes on the back of their dramatic victory over Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.

The remaining seven fixtures will be held on Sunday, starting off with Angers' trip to third-placed Nice. Marseille will wrap things up with their 2:45 p.m. ET clash in what should be another interesting round in Ligue 1. Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming matches.

Top games to watch on Matchday 25 games in Ligue 1

Lens vs Lyon: While the visitors' odds of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League next season are slim, the race to secure European football – be it the Europa League or Conference League – is wide open. Lyon are in seventh after enduring an inconsistent season, but the gap between them and fourth-placed Strasbourg is merely four points. Unfortunately, Lens are only a point behind Les Gones in eighth, meaning the home side will have just as much desire to win. Form favors the away team, however, with Peter Bosz's men winning all but one of their last five games while the hosts have lost all but two in as many outings. Who will win this fixture? Tune in on Saturday to find out.

Nantes vs PSG: The league leaders are back in action this weekend, having secured an excellent result in the UEFA Champions League during the midweek. PSG hosted Real Madrid on Tuesday and just as they appeared destined to draw at home, Kylian Mbappe popped up with a brilliant winner in the final minute of added time to hand his side a 1-0 advantage. Pochettino's men will look to build on that result, with Neymar returning from injury and Messi in need of form. Nantes have won all but one of their last five outings, with that sole defeat coming against Strasbourg, so it will be interesting to see whether the visitors will offer the Paris giants a test or crumble in front of the title favorites.

Marseille vs Clermont: Sampaoli's men have suffered a few disappointing results this month and will be keen on gaining maximum points in Matchday 25's final fixture. Marseille beat Metz 2-1 in their most recent game but have lost twice in February, being thrashed 4-1 by Nice in the French Cup quarterfinal while losing 2-1 to Lyon at the beginning of the month. Guendouzi and Co. are currently second in the table and hold a four-point advantage over third-placed Nice, meaning the home side cannot be leapfrogged no matter what. Regardless, Marseille will want to maintain – or even add to – that gap. Meanwhile, form has slipped away from the visitors, with Clermont winning only twice in their last six games, hence why they find themselves in 15th. Additionally, the last time they met Les Phocéens, Pascal Gastien's men lost 1-0, meaning they will be out for revenge this weekend.
