After picking up a series of bad results in recent weeks, Tottenham Hotspur will aim at returning to winning ways when they host Leeds on Saturday.

Tottenham Hotspur face a tricky test when they welcome Leeds United to the Tottenham Stadium for Saturday's early-kick off game of matchweek 17. Jose Mourinho's side are actively pursuing a change in fortune as a series of bad performances and poor results has seen them lose a bit of the momentum they started the season with. Having enjoyed multiple spells in the top half of the Premier League table, the White Lilies have dropped to seventh position after accumulating 26 points from 15 matches.

They enter Saturday's game with Leeds off the back of a disappointing 1-1 draw with Wolves that compounded their dip in form over the course of the last three weeks. Having taken the lead through Tanguy Ndombele inside the first minute, the Nortj London outfit were made to share spoils with Nuno Espirito's men after Roman Saiss managed an equalizer.

At the moment, the North London outfit is without a win in the premiership in four games, losing two and drawing the remaining two games. Their sub-par record at home also raises questions as they have only managed just three wins from seven outings at the venue thus far. Against a free-flowing attacking team in Leeds, that does not present a good look as far as starting the year on a high note is concerned.

Marcelo Bielsa's men will particularly relish their chances and aim for a good result by building on their most recent win. On Boxing Day, the Whites condemned West Bromwich Albion to a 5-0 humiliation inside the Hawthorns, highlighting their fascinating attacking prowess.

Since arriving in the league this season, only Liverpool (37), Manchester United (33) and Chelsea (31) have score more goals than the Elland Road outfit (30) who also boast the second-worst defensive record after West Brom. Their attacking style has seen them pick up big defeats in the coirse of the season although their last four appearances remains commendable with their record of three wins and one defeat.

Although they currently seat in 11th position with 23 points, many expect Bielsa's men to survive relegation and potentially break into the top 6 at the end of the season. Against Tottenham Hotspur, a step in the right could be taken as a win could see the club go level on points with fifth-placed Chelsea.

On the other hand, Leeds will miss the services of Liam Cooper and Diego Llorente. Mateusz Klich took a blow to his thigh and is expected to be sidelined agains Mourinho's side.
